(High School Age and Up)
Open Recreational Program
When
- Monday evenings, between 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.
- Winter Session runs from January 4 through March 2010, 12 weeks
- January 4 – Registration and skills clinic. Players returning from Fall session will be contacted with times. New players for winter session, please come at 7 p.m. Bring stick, mouthguard and shinguards for skills Clinic.
Where
- Sherwood Forest Park Gymnasium, Fairview Street East, Burlington
What
- Some skill instruction in a recreational team-based program.
- Three 1-hour game slots each evening, starting at 7 p.m., 8 p.m., and 9 p.m. Players are assigned to a team, and a schedule is provided.
- We can accommodate up to 54 players.
Registration for Winter session
- In person, Monday January 4, 2010, at Sherwood Forest Park Gym.
- Players returning from the Fall session need only to submit the program fee – a new registration form is not necessary.
- New players for Winter session – please print Registration Form and Player Information Form from web-site, and bring along with fees. Please contact 905-632-7522 for availability.
Fees(includes mandatory membership in Field Hockey Ontario and Field Hockey Canada) Payable to Halton Field Hockey Club.
- Program fee - $48
- Mandatory FHO/C fees for the membership year September 1, 2009 – August 31, 2010. Players who did not register in the fall 2009, must add this amount.
Under 18 as of January 1, 2010 - $30
18 and over as of January 1, 2010 - $68
EXTERNAL LEAGUE AND TOURNAMENT OPPORTUNITIES
(Additional fees apply for tournaments, exhibition games, and external Leagues)
League – Hosted by Toronto Women’s Field Hockey Association
- Hosted by Toronto Women’s FH Association. At The Hanger in Downsview Park, Toronto, easily accessible from Hwy 401.
- Sunday mornings (starting 8 a.m.) starting January 17, 2010 and running through the first week of April
- Likelihood of 2 games per day and playing about one Sunday every 3 weeks or so
- Cost $80, payable to Halton Field Hockey Club
Ontario Provincial Junior Championship Tournament (for U18 as of Jan. 1, 2010):
- February 27 & 28. At RIM Park in Waterloo. Cost TBA. Maximum 12 players – selections will be made if more than 12 players are interested.
