Club Statement on the Impact of COVID-19

Our first thoughts are to you and your families during this time of uncertainty. We hope you are all doing your very best to keep yourselves and our community safe and healthy.

As we all know, we are in uncharted territories right now. There are many questions that remain unanswered, including those that impact our club. Below is the current status of our programs:
1. House Leagues (Youth, Junior, Senior, Co-ed) – our season is set to start April 18. We are taking direction from the local governments and  Health Canada on whether facilities will re-open in time. We are hesitant to outright cancel at this time as the situation is ever evolving. A decision on whether the season will be postponed or cancelled will be made by April 9.
2. Thrashers (all age groups) – Training has been suspended and will not resume until facilities have re-opened. Coaches are sending out at-home training guides and will continue to monitor athlete progress. Shooting Stars has been postponed until May and Spring Fling has not made a decision yet.
3. Coach and Umpire training – these are being directed by Field Hockey Ontario, who will make the decision on whether these go ahead or not. We will keep you informed.

We understand that with so much up in the air, members and families will need to make decisions that are best suited for them. If you have questions or concerns about your registration, please reach out to your program director.

We are in this together and we will come out of this together. Stay safe everyone, and stay tuned for further information.
