Youth Recreational Program

2021 Spring/Summer Outdoor Program

An introductory and development house league program for players 6yrs to 13yrs old (Elementary school-aged). Outdoor (turf) season runs from late April to the end of June and is played at Oakville or Burlington locations, and Indoor season runs from October to March.

Players are divided into age groups that follow the learning stages set out in the Long-Term Hockey Development (LTHD) framework, based on Canada’s Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model.

U10 House League
(Boys and girls born 2011 – 2014)
Session 1: 4-week introductory session focusing on skills and drills
– Max 24 participants
– 3 pods of 8 players
– Red Zone safety precautions
– Masks mandatory (1 reusable mask provided by the club to each player)
– Dates: June start
– Location: TBD (Burlington or Oakville)
– Times: Saturday mornings
Fees: $60 plus one time $15 administration fee

U14 House League
(Boys and girls born 2007 – 2010)
Session 1: 4-week development program for those not yet in high school, appropriate for first-time and returning players
– Max 54 participants (27 per field time)
– 6 pods of 9 players
– Red Zone safety precautions
– Masks mandatory (1 reusable mask provided by the club to each player)
– Dates: June start
– Location: TBD (Burlington or Oakville)
– Times: Saturday mornings
Fees: $60 plus one time $15 administration fee

Coaches work with the players to develop physical literacy, fundamental skill development, and an introduction to team play in a safe, fun environment.
